BE ALERT! First Day of School
Tomorrow (Wed, Aug. 6, 2025) is the first day of school for Augusta County. This means that school buses will be on the road.
-Car drivers, please give our school buses lots of room to run their routes and pick up students.
-Obey the stop arms to enable students to safely load and unload.
-Bus drivers will be getting acclimated to their routes. Please be at your stop in advance in case they're running early, and be patient if they're running late.
-Route timing and consistency will improve over time.
And lastly, be kind! We appreciate the service our bus drivers are providing our students.
📣 Reminder: Utility Bills Are Due Today!
Please make sure to submit your payment by the end of the day to avoid late fees.
You can pay online at www.townofgrottoes.com, by mail (we do accept postmarks), in the dropbox or in person at Town Hall (601 Dogwood Avenue).

Beginning around 9:00 AM, the Town of Grottoes will continue infrastructure upgrades that require the following closures:
🔹 Dogwood Avenue from 7th Street to 5th Street
🔹 6th Street from Cherry Avenue to Elm Avenue
Please plan ahead and use alternate routes while crews are at work. Thank you for your patience as we work to improve our town’s infrastructure!
