Time to Start Raking!
The Town of Grottoes Public Works Department will begin leaf collection the week of November 17–21 and again December 1–5, weather permitting for both weeks.
Crews will make two trips through town to collect loose leaves that have been raked to the edge of the road in piles.
What to Know Before You Rake
To help things go smoothly and keep our storm drains and streets clear, please follow these guidelines:
- Do not bag your leaves. Only loose leaves will be collected.
- Do not fill ditches or culverts with leaves.
- Leaves will not be collected with your regular trash service.
- Once Public Works has completed its second collection, crews will not return for additional pickups.
