Thank you to everyone who took part in this year’s Halloween Home Decorating Contest — from the ghoulish geniuses to the spooky spectators. We had so many fabulous entries and a wonderful community turnout. Your creativity made Grottoes glow (and groan) all month long. Below are this year’s winners.
Family-Friendly Fun Award — 200 10th Street
Congratulations to 200 10th Street for bringing home the Family-Friendly Fun Award! Their pirate walk-through experience was a hit with visitors of all ages — imaginative, interactive, and perfectly kid-friendly while still full of Halloween charm.

209 10th Street earned the Spookiest House Award for a display that sent shivers down the block. From eerie lighting to expertly timed scares, this house brought the classic Halloween frights in style.

Fall Harvest Charm Award — 607 10th Street
607 10th Street won the Fall Harvest Charm Award for a warm, autumnal display that celebrated the season’s colors and coziness. Their tasteful pumpkins, cornstalks, and even “Bruce” the skeleton created a welcoming fall scene.

Frightfully Festive Street Award — 600 block of 9th Street (609, 606, 604, 602)
The 600 block of 9th Street (609, 606, 604, 602) is this year’s Frightfully Festive Street Award winner — a whole-block effort that turned the neighborhood into a connected, immersive Halloween experience. Teamwork and festive spirit made this street a must-see.

People’s Choice Award — 503 14th Street
And the People’s Choice Award goes to 503 14th Street for a crowd-favorite display that captured hearts (and votes). Their creativity and attention to detail made them the community pick this year. With over 500 votes on the website, this winner received 173 of them!

We also want to recognize several Honorable Mentions that made judging especially difficult this year. From elaborate light shows to eerie front-yard scenes and clever, hand-crafted details, the level of effort across town was truly impressive. Every participant helped make Grottoes a little more festive — and a lot more fun — this Halloween season.

Thank you once again to everyone who decorated, voted, or toured the displays throughout town. Your creativity and community spirit made this year’s inaugural contest a huge success! We’re looking forward to what you do at Christmas this year.
