Hey Grottoes! 🎄✨
It’s time to let your holiday spirit shine—you get to choose the theme for the 2025 Grottoes Christmas Parade! This is your chance to help set the stage for the most magical night of the year, and we can’t wait to see which idea wins. 🌟 Cast your vote at THIS LINK anytime between now and Friday, September 5th at 3:00 PM EST. Let’s make this year’s parade one to remember! 🎅🎁

We’ve come up with some fun and unique theme ideas for you to pick from, but the poll also gives you the chance to share your own suggestion. Just remember—last year we had a Grinch who said “NO PARADE” several times, but that’s not really an option. 😉 Our 2024 theme was A Country Christmas, and it was a big hit—now we’re excited to see what will follow it!

This year’s theme options are:
Sweet Christmas: Toys, Treats & Twinkling Streets: Floats will showcase beloved holiday toys—from classic trains and dolls to cuddly teddy bears—alongside mouthwatering treats like candy canes, gingerbread cookies, and hot cocoa mugs, all illuminated by dazzling lights that make every corner of Grottoes shine bright. Marching groups will bring the streets to life with festive costumes, joyful music, and the spirit of giving that makes Christmas truly sweet.

Grottoes Gingerbread Jubilee: Imagine floats decked out like giant gingerbread houses, candy canes, gumdrops, and frosting swirls, all glowing under the night sky. Marching groups dressed as gingerbread men, candy elves, and holiday treats will fill the streets with cheer and whimsy.

Movie Night at the North Pole: Floats will bring to life iconic scenes from beloved holiday movies like Elf, Home Alone, The Polar Express, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, and A Christmas Story, all aglow with festive lights and North Pole charm. Marching bands, dancers, and performers will add to the magic by recreating memorable moments and spreading holiday cheer.

Winter Wonderland: Floats will sparkle with icy blues, silvers, and whites, adorned with twinkling lights and frosted decorations that capture the hush and beauty of a snowy night. Marchers dressed as snow queens, ice skaters, and woodland creatures will bring the season’s enchantment to life with graceful dances and glowing costumes.

Candy Cane Lane: Imagine children’s faces lighting up as they follow the trail of glowing candy canes, while holiday music fills the air and the scent of peppermint seems to dance on the breeze. Candy Cane Lane isn’t just a parade—it’s a sweet escape into a world of wonder, warmth, and community spirit, perfect for making lasting memories this Christmas season in Grottoes.

Tacky & Twinkly: The Ugly Sweater Parade: Floats and marchers will deck themselves out in blinking lights, oversized bows, glittery tinsel, and those wonderfully “ugly” sweaters that bring smiles from ear to ear. From reindeer with flashing noses to snowmen wrapped in strands of glowing lights, every inch of the parade will sparkle with tacky holiday spirit.

All that Glitters: A Sparkle & Shine Christmas Time: Floats will glow with shimmering silver, gold, and jewel tones, decked out in sparkling garlands, glittering ornaments, and radiant lights that illuminate the night. Marchers will shimmer in sequined costumes, twinkling tiaras, and glowing accessories, creating a parade that truly dazzles from start to finish.

Star Spangled Christmas: Floats will sparkle with patriotic decorations—twinkling stars, shimmering flags, and festive red and white lights—all shining bright under the night sky. Marching groups will blend traditional holiday costumes with touches of Americana, honoring the community’s spirit and values during this joyful time of year.
