Trash Service Transition – Important Information
On Thursday, June 26th (your regular trash pickup day), Waste Management will be removing their green toters from your curbside location. You must have all green toters to the curb. This process may take more than one day, so please leave your containers at the curb until they are picked up. Toters do NOT need to be empty – Waste Management will handle that.
At the same time — on June 26th and continuing through June 27th — Meridian will be delivering your new trash toters curbside. Your new toter(s) will be blue.
We’ve provided Meridian with the number of toters each household should receive. However, if you find that you received too few or too many, please contact Town Hall so we can get your account corrected and help you add or remove the extras. Each new toter will have a sticker with contact information for Meridian. The sticker will also indicate your new trash pickup day — either Wednesday or Thursday, depending on your location.
If you typically place your cans somewhere other than the end of your driveway, please note that Meridian will not be aware of this. They will deliver to the address as it was provided to them. It may take a couple of weeks for everyone to get used to the new system, we ask for your patience.
Dumpster Transition Notice – 12th & 13th Street and Carson Circle Residents – If you currently have a dumpster at your home, please be aware that Waste Management will be removing their dumpsters, and Meridian will be delivering new ones. We are working to ensure a smooth transition with minimal downtime between pickup and delivery. However, if there is a delay, we kindly ask that you do not pile trash in the area during the interim. Doing so will only make the process more difficult and create unnecessary mess for your neighbors.
Thank you for your cooperation and for helping keep our community clean! For more information from Meridian, please visit THIS LINK. You can also sign up for notifications from them when services may be delayed.
IF YOU WILL BE OUT OF TOWN: We recommend asking a trusted neighbor or someone else you know to pull your green toter(s) to the curb on Wednesday evening for pickup by Waste Management. Unfortunately, the Town Staff are not in charge of the pickup and won’t be able to do this on your behalf.
