ATTENTION GROTTOES RESIDENTS!!
We’ve received several calls with concerns about individuals taking photos of homes around town. Please be advised that Rockingham County assessors are currently in the area as part of the routine property reassessment process, which occurs every four years. The updated assessments will take effect in January 2026.
These assessors have notified the Town in advance and are working to update property records.
If you see someone photographing properties and feel uncertain, you are welcome to ask for identification. However, please know this activity is part of an official process.
