BRUSH PICKUP BEGINS TUESDAY, MAY 27TH. Our Town Maintenance will pick up brush & limbs that originated from your property. These limbs should be placed into bundles wrapped with twine (NOT WIRE!) not to exceed 6 feet in length, 2 feet in diameter, or 60 pounds in weight. Public Works may opt to not pick up if these criteria are ignored.
Place these bundles next to the road, and the Town will dispose of them for you. Public Works will make ONE trip through Grottoes. They will begin on Berkley Avenue and work their way towards the North end of town while also keeping on the East side of the railroad tracks. Once all of these areas have been visited, the crew moves over to the West side of the railroad tracks. From this point on, the crew works in a pattern to ensure that all areas are visited. They travel the numerical STREETS first and then move onto the AVENUES.
If you do not have yours at the curb when they come through, the brush site will be open again on Saturday, June 7th and Wednesday, June 11th, and you may take it there that day. The Rockingham County Landfill also has a brush site available.
